Лабрадорите спадат към кучетата от породите с по-дълги и клепнали уши, което ги прави по-предразположени към ушни заболявания. Това налага веднъж седмично ушите да се почистват с тампон от памук, а най-малко един път в месеца да се прави т. нар. мокро почистване (с марля и риванол). Съществуват редица антисептични средства и детергенти, които по лекарско предписание могат да се употребяват за почистването (не и сапун с вода или калиев перманганат!). Тази профилактика срещу локални възпаления, с почистващо действие, ветеринарят нарича пране на уши! Без накисване, с достатъчно балончета, мек аромат и неустоим блясък за кадифените бижута – отвътре-навън!

Labradors belong to the breed that is a member of the floppy, hanging eared family which predisposes them to auricular diseases. This necessitates the ear care with cotton buds at least once a week and to practice – at least once a month – the so called wet cleaning (with gauze and flavin). There are many antiseptic products and detergents that are available and could be used on medical prescription (do not use soap and water or permanganate of potassium!). A prophylaxis like that with a cleaning effect, against the local inflammations is called by the vet – an ear laundry! Without soaking, with enough bubbles, embalmed with a mild scent and bathed in an irresistible glitter for the velvet jewels, from inside-out.

Les labradors appartiennent à la race canine dont les oreilles plus longues et tombantes prédisposent aux maladies auriculaires. Ceci nécessite le nettoyage des oreilles une fois par semaine à l’aide d’un tampon de coton, et, de pratiquer au moins une fois par mois – l’ainsi nommé – nettoyage mouillé (avec de gaze et de rivanol). Il existe de nombreux produits antiseptiques ou détergents d'hygiène pour les oreilles qui y peuvent être utiles, sur prescription médicale (à noter : ne pas utiliser de l’eau savonneuse ou du permanganate de potassium!) Le vétérinaire appelle cette prophylaxie contre les inflammations locales, mettant à l’œuvre la antisepsie, un lavage des oreilles. Sans trempage, avec suffisamment de bulles, embaumé d’une douce arôme et baigné d’une lueur irrésistible pour les bijoux velouteux, du dedans à l’extérieur.
