Черното куче / The Black Dog/ Le Chien Noir
Kогато някой спомене Марта’с Винярд, неминуемо изникват асоциации с популярна туристическа дестинация, с лозаро-винарски терени, наименование за произход и, разбира се, с талисмана на острова – Черното Куче. Родена през Ноември в далечната ’67, храбрата женска е кръстена на съименика си и герой от романа на Робърт Л. Стивънсън „Островът на съкровищата”. Образът на гордата майка на 5 кучила се превръща в запазена марка за Black Dog Tavern и във въплащение на повече от чудесна маркетингова стратегия за The Black Dog Company. И макар от физическата й загуба да са изминали 23 години, до ден днешен хората я преоткриват в сувенири, стоки или в някой лудуващ на плажа наследник от многолюдната й челяд, подсъзнателно извикващ дежурния въпрос: „Това ли е Черното куче?”. Глори е нашето Черното Куче, което има още много време, докато се кандидатира в конкурса за двойник за едноименната легенда, но сме сигурни, че върви неотклонно по кучешките й стъпки!Благодаря, Елчо!
When someone mentions Martha’s Vineyard, it is bound to associate it with a popular tourist destination, with “the Vineyard”, with the American Viticultural Area, and of course, with the mascot of the island – the Black Dog. Born in the distant past of 1967, in November, the brave female companion is called after the eponymous character in Robert Louis Stevenson's novel Treasure Island. The image of the proud mother of five litters turns into the epitome of the Black Dog Tavern and into the quintessence of more than a successful marketing strategy for The Black Dog Company. And even though 23 years separate us from her physical lost, people rediscover her to this day in souvenirs, goods or in some frolic successor of her populous offspring, playing on the beach, subconsciously raising the usual question: “Is this the Black Dog?”. Glory is our Black Dog, who has plenty more time until she run for the eponymous’ legend Look-Alike Contest, but we are sure that she is following steadily in her Dog Tracks!

Quand quelqu’un mentionne Martha’s Vineyard il est inévitable de l’associer avec une destination touristique populaire, avec le Vignoble, l’ A.O.C. (Appellation d’origine contrôlée), et, bien sûr, avec la mascotte de l’île – le Chien Noir. Née en Novembre, à l’époque lointaine de 1967, la brave femelle de compagne est nommée d’après le héros éponyme du roman de Robert Louis Stevenson L'Île au trésor. L’image de la mère sage de cinq portées se transforme en marque de fabrique pour la taverne Black Dog de même qu’en la personnification d’une stratégie de marketing plus que brillante pour The Black Dog Company. Et même si 23 ans nous séparent de sa perte physique, les gens la redécouvrent jusqu’à présent en souvenirs, en articles ou bien en un ou une de ses successeurs folâtres, appartenant à sa progéniture nombreuse, qui joue à la plage et soulève inconsciemment la question : « Est-ce que c’est le chien noir ? ». Glory est notre Chien(ne) Noir(e) qui dispose avec beaucoup de temps avant d’entrer au concours d’un double de la légende éponyme, mais on est sur qu’elle suit sans écart à la trace canine.
